The mission of the African Immigrant Health Research Collaborative (AIHRC) is to amplify the voices, experiences, and solutions of all African immigrants by actively challenging and interrupting structural oppression through community-led research, training, and engagement. We prioritize community cultural values and decolonized practices, sustaining a bold African immigrant-led network dedicated to driving meaningful policy and systems change to improve the wellbeing of African immigrants for generations to come.
The leadership team consists of the Africans For Improved Access (AFIA) program at the Multicultural AIDS Coalition Massachusetts, Office of Maine Refugee Services Maine, Multicultural Community Family Services (MCFS) Pennsylvania, African Alliance of Rhode Island (AARI) Rhode Island, Lead the Way Minnesota, and Integrated Refugees and Immigrants Services (IRIS) Connecticut.
